Big day! My butt is very sore. Too much road, which made for very tough going. Stumbled upon a British pub though and had 2 pints of cider and a curry, which kept me going! Final push to Ottawa tomorrow š Slept in a park.
Rural rail trail then SMASH CUT to big city! Good city bike paths to train station. Unfortunately had to part ways with my bike because it has to travel on a separate train to Montreal. Will pick it up tomorrow. Very glad to be done pedalling. 1,864km in total for the trip š
I put together this (almost) all-gravel route from my home town of Courtenay to the northern tip of Vancouver Island, known as Cape Scott. This is a wild and remote area and not for the faint of heart. It was while cycling part of this route that I got the idea of connecting Cape Scott and Cape Spear in Newfoundland by bike.
